ID Hologram strength ( self )

Is there anyway to reduce the strength of an ID hologram. one I have is too strong that it is hard to see through the characters when it shines compared to a true overlay

If it looks fake for whatever reason, don't use it. The risks are too high.

One thing I did with a fake I bought which was way too shiny was rub it against my jeans/wallet, I don't actually know if this does anything but I think it gave it a more "worn" look which made it look a lot more real and gave me more confidence to use.
