Intro: Got this ID for review a few months ago but I was completely jammed with midterms and then finals and never had time to review.
Uncertainty factor: High, comparing only to barbook pictures (attached below).
Cost: Got for review, but 2 IDs with MG35 was 78 bucks. I also ordered a bunch of nCA during MG50 for some friends and for 7 IDS the total was 162.5 (23 dollars per ID). I can confidently say that Magic has the best price/performance out of any vendor, especially with their constant discount codes.
Communication: Didn’t have to communicate but I’ve jerked off Magic a lot in my past reviews and for good reason, love em to death. Always respond within 24 hrs and the CS speaks perfect English so there’s no language barrier.
Shipping: Normal 2 weeks as expected, nothing surprising.
Photoshop: The photoshop on this one was awesome, even better than it was on my old picture I used to use, I think that is due to the cleaner bg on this one. Drop shadow is basically non-existent on the real and the fake, and the quality looks accurate (not “too HD” if that makes sense). The example one is cropped from the chest down but my photo cuts off at the neck so not really vendor’s fault.
Template: Kerning on the state logo/text (ARKANSAS) is a bit too spaced out, needs to be tighter together. Not going to comment on color too much because I think the scan of the barbook wasn’t that high quality, but everything looks a lot brighter and more vibrant than the scan. The real ID star is definitely the wrong shade though and is placed slightly off. All the black text looks like it needs to be just a bit bolder, but the font itself is perfect (needs to be especially bolder on the top “DRIVER’S LICENSE” text). Overall, actually pretty good, just a few placements that could be adjusted.
Look and Feel: Thick like polycarbonate states (WI and NY for example). Not sure how real is supposed to feel.
Security Features: Don’t have the ID on me and I can’t remember if it has holos/OVI/raised text but I don’t believe it does. UV looks pretty good even though again the Barbook pictures are kinda shit so I can’t really tell, placements are correct. I don’t have the ID with me when I write this so I’m not sure how good the microprinting is, but you can see from the Barbook pic attached.
Signature: Looks like what I submitted. Example one is thicker, but not like they can do much about that. No complaints here.
Conclusion: Magic as always excels at their photoshop and price to performance, but there are still a few small changes that can be changed. If you are in the lower Midwest or the south this state is a potential option.
