been a while lol
finally got a virginia physical & fake in hand for once
disclaimer: got this ID knowing it wouldn't be perfect because VA is HARD. don't let it stray you away from OIS I've never had issues reselling any of their other IDs
Will skip past price/communication/shipping since it's all fantastic.
First impression: (6/10)
Honestly found it disappointing. High res/quality printing always stood out from all the ID's I've received from OIS (namely CO, CA, IL, and WI), and the VA looked like they weakly tried to match the colors or get the fine details down.
Raised text: (8/10)
Clear: (4/5)
VA has clear raised text of the customer ID/DOB/SEX on the front photo, and the DOB on the back. Absolutely perfect on the front facing, but the DOB on the back (supposed to be overlaid on the signature) wasn't present.
Black: (4/5) (signature, DOB, customer ID, expiry)
Raised effect is there, but it's not similar to the true grayish black color and thickness. All black raised text elements are there.
Signature: (10/10)
looks good enough, never had an issue with signatures
Template: (3/10)
OIS nailed the lines and features of the template but literally washed away all the color like a watercolor painting. This is clearly evident in the photos I'll add below. The design is there but there's no vibrant standout color. ID would get bent immediately.
The font is all too small on the ID, needs to be a larger point. Same on the raised text
Other than that template is decent
Back print/template is MUCH better quality than front
UV ink: (7/10)
Honestly looks much better than the physical I have. Colors are good and more vibrant and crisper, not sure if VA's DMV is shitty or something....I'd pick the fake UV over the real UV if it got handed to me at the bar. Real UV is a little foggier.
Physical VA has a UV layer with the VA state seal (I think that's what it is) on the front, and nothing on the back. Fake VA had the same UV layer on both sides.
Microprint: (10/10)
Surprised me actually...it's good the letters are clear and crisp
Window: (8/10)
Thought this would be the ugliest thing in existence....swirly text around the bottom looks good, the image reflects and fades like it should. Excellent job
However shine a flashlight through the window and you can see the UV ink layer. The symbols/letters that make up the UV layer on the front can be seen when you shine a light through the window.
Scans fine. Thickness is fine, a little more bendy than the physical but it's hardly noticeable.
Conclusion: (7.4/10 averaged scores above, take it as you will)
would not recommend instate or use in DC/MD, but should be passable in other states assuming they aren't familiar with it. The colors a dead giveaway.
Didn't take any photos of the UV
Real o21 on top, fake on bottom
