So as some of you may know, I currently do the Photoshop on our products and have been for a little over a month or so. I have pretty standard presets for some effects I have to add to photos, and thought some of you up and coming RTP workers would find this useful. I started working as a nobody and learned a lot from a big group chat (shoutout to the RTP Union/Blunts, Bottles, and Bitches - we sure caused some havoc among certain vendors when we wanted more uniform wages lmao). Anyway, check this out.
This is my preset for the "grain" you see. To set this up on a portrait you need to do a cutout, then duplicate your layer and apply halftone to the duplicate, set opacity to 15-17% and then merge it down to the previous original layer. If it comes out too high-resolution then repeat the process. I never do it more than four times, otherwise it looks fuckin weird in my experience.
Here is my drop shadow preset. For all states I currently work with, this one works across all of them. For other states, like CA which uses a phat shadow, I'll obviously have to adjust but that's one of the few states I have never worked. To apply this, take your image with halftone and click the "fx" button in the bottom of your layer panel and click "Drop Shadow". Input what I have and play around with the sliders if they look a bit off/not to your liking.
I can teach people how to do what I do for Dove, but for the real vendor service training you'll have to talk to Ramses since he does this shit for more than just one person I believe. If you want to share your methods or ask questions though, feel free down below in the comments.
