Well to my surprise Veriscan actually catches fakes, witnessed that last night. But you got a lot of the main points here. Pretty much yea BCS got an update and bc so many kids use that app to test their fakes, they all assumed their fakes no longer " work " . What really doesn't make sense is all the things these kids came up with. Somehow it translated to this only affects OIS, the government magically flipped a switch so fakes won't work anywhere, and that the overseas vendors got raided by the FBI. Even at a glance, these claims are all ridiculous.

I will say I have had some people say where fakes used to work it no longer does. However, it can also be said tik tok gave this issue way more exposure than it should ever have had. 2 bars at a college by me now use BCS and I don't believe they did in the past. I could be wrong though. It doesn't end there tho, as people claim they're no longer scanning at gas stations they go to but personally I think gas station scanners can sometimes be unreliable

Yes, exactly my point. I have heard the same "raided by the FBI and shut down" nonsense, I wonder if they have given this thing enough traction to tempt other software teams to do the same thing BCS did. Everyone I have talked to is so hesitant to use theirs now I haven't heard of anything other than the BCS app.

You make a good point there. If kids freak out this much about one app, imagine if every app gets the slightest update
