agreed, the law is dumb. i didnt use any online store, i just went through their website and they have a demo verification thing where you just take a picture and if all the info lines up correctly itll verify it, shouldnt have any worries. I doubt they are gonna be able to tell if its a fake or not. it only made me take a pic of the front not the back.
