Gas Stations or Liquor Stores? (NY) ( self )

So threw a combination of post I've made on here showing my ID or asking for advice, a ton of people said if I went to a gas station, even with a shitty ID (I have a g0d NY, and am using it in NY, probably not the best scenario), I'd be fine. The thing is, I really don't like beer, hate the taste and I'm a bigger guy so it takes a few to even give me a buzz. This is why I want to go to a liquor store. Will my ID be looked at closer at a liquor store, and any recommendations on how to spot a liquor store that don't give a fuck?

this goes for anywhere in America. 95% of gas stations and liq stores dont care. Just bars/clubs might

I'm probably not going to a bar or club any time soon, really the only reason I might is to take advantage or wing night at a local townie bar, fucking bouncer carded me when all I wanted was an order of wings.

Would you recommend something closer or farther away? Also, how much should I get, is getting ton of cheap alcohol a sign of a party and would make the cashier look more closely at my ID (it's an instate NY) or am I over thinking shit

The more you buy, the more the store makes. Keep that in mind. Profit margins on liquor stores are surprisingly pretty low. No NY is great right now, so I would say get a NJ, PA, CT or something.

All I have is my NY, which is why I thought about making a road trip to PA to stock up (like 2 hours from border). I ordered a Dove TN but he's having delays right now.

This is true. I handed a fake NJ that had been bent in half to the point where the card couldn't be flattened out. I just told the guy I had accidentally bent it showing off to friends, and he sold to me.

i usually go to grocery stores if i ever want to buy. just kinda look around at the cashiers and try to find one that looks like they won’t care. always works for me and never had a problem, plus they usually will have a pretty big selection
