OIS nNY V.3 Review. Comparing to real and other fakes.
Certainty- Medium-high. Comparing to my friends real, hand in hand, but not taking pictures. It was a casual “hey can I look at your ID real quick.” I did manage to compare the UV though.
Communication 10/10
Once the order was placed, I never has to contact OIS again. Automated system sent me an email with my tracking number, a few days later, it showed up. They are very responsive on the email though, I once had an issue with a shipping address on a previous order and they resolved it quickly.
Shipping/Stealth- 10/10
Opted for the rush option. Not gonna say what postal carrier it was. But from order to delivery in USA was less than 10 days. Thats fast. Let’s just say that the rush shipping option makes the package much less suspicious and less likely to be flagged by the Customs computer.
It got here, so I’m happy.
Cost 8/10
This was a giveaway. It’s usually $120 but if you can get a few people that would drop to like 80-90 and that’s reasonable. Definitely competitive pricing for a nNY. I mean yeah you can get a g0d for $50, but you don’t want those.
Template 8/10
Color matching was very good. Most NY fakes are either way too dark or too light. The OIS was slightly too light. Everything was in the right place, correct fonts, raised text on signature and DOB/DOI. Microprint looks good.
A few complaints- On the real, the 1D barcode on the back is slightly lighter, more of a gray, than the black of the 2D barcode. On the OIS the two barcodes were the same color.
On the real, the colors of the Lady Liberty and the other figures were more red and blue, respectively. OIS was just a little washed out. The state seal of NY was a bit too light.
The patch on the back of the OIS is too light and more yellow, the real one is more tan/brownish.
Overall, this is a way closer NY template than any other NY I have seen. The next best NY fake I’ve seen would be IDInstate V2 but those are way too dark compared to a real.

Photoshop 7/10- Its pretty solid. Not a ton of gradient or blending, but it’s a gray background. On par.
Scanning- 8/10 Scans on BCS. Looks good on PDF-417. I’m sure it will scan at gas stations/stores/groceries. Probably most low end bar/club scanners. Anything looking like a super robust scanner though I wouldn’t risk it. The only thing better would be a NANI module.
Construction - Interesting, of note to mention.
Most NY fakes are a thin plastic card, attempting to emulate the polycarbonate of the real ID. However, it looks like OIS actually used a Teslin sheet with plastic-like laminate over the top. This makes for a more realistic feel as compared to the real. However the one drawback is now that this ID is yellow when you shine a light through it, whereas the plastic ones are white, like the real.
It bends perfectly without creasing though, despite this overlay. (Overlay is imperceptible useless you really know to look for it.)
UV- 9/10 - Tested with 365nm.
This is where this ID really shines! It’s amazing.
On most NY fakes, the UV template is really accurate, but the ink itself is way too bright as compared to the real. I think this has to do with how the UV is printed directly on to the plastic and the type of ink they need to do to use that. This also results in bleeding on the back UV where it isn’t 100% precise. See pics for clarification.
However, the Teslin setup OIS used makes it so that the UV can be printed with the proper type of ink. The UV on this is really slick and very precise. It is really close to the real. More than the other fakes I’ve ever seen. It’s just the right brightness. Only reason for not giving a 10/10 is that the UV doesnt go quite to the edge of the ID, its like a 1/2 centimeter off from the edge. NBD, especially considering how good the rest of this ID is.

Conclusion- 8.5/10
I would use this ID in any big city besides Boston or Vegas. I would risk it in NYC, but probably not Fire Island. Those clowns are strict.
Any college bar this is gonna be better than most of the competition.
Now before anyone says I am shilling for OIS. I just want to say that I have had many IDs pass through my hands in the past few years. OIS makes a quality ID and has good service. Sure, there are better IDs out there. But in my mind, the ease of communication, reliable ability to pass customs with orders both large and small, combined with decent pricing for good product is what keeps me happy with them.
This NY is not 1:1. But its the best NY I have seen.
