this is a spicy ID. maybe i'm biased because i've never ordered from ois before and am not used to this kinda quality, but for a V1 review copy, this ID is GOOD. there are some flaws ofc, so i'll dive in.
Uncertainty: high, i only have online images to compare to
Communication (10/10): no issues here, they were review copies from the contest so i communicated with him on that. quick responses that were honestly so nice???
Shipping (10/10): it only took 15 days from when i placed the order for them to be delivered! i'm not sure if they were maybe shipped with rush since they were review copies, but amazing nonetheless
Cost (1/10): they were free so yeah great for me personally. but for the $120 they cost i would probably wait until the V2 is released which he says he's going to release soon
Stealth (12/10): one of the best stealths i've seen so far. got through customs just fine, but i also think it would definitely get through nosy parents if they opened your package
Template (9/10): most of the template looks real good for a V1. the curved writing on the bottom is done really well, although another review said it was boxy so maybe my initials were easy to work with. all the info is correct and the fonts/sizing looks good. raised text is really nice, doesn't scratch off at all. colors look good, maybe could be a little more vibrant? i'm not sure, just going off internet pics. the number stamped on the left of the pic looks good too, nice and straight.
here are the small problems i've been able to spot with the template. in the photo i have both copies i received, and the bottom one in the pic has some issues that the top one doesn't. first, in the little white box at the top that has DL printed in it, the bottom copy has DL shifted to the left instead of in the middle of the box. its pretty clear when you compare it to the top copy. also, the 'driver license' printed at the top of the bottom copy is too close to the big green 'colorado'. there should be slightly more space between the two, like how it is on the top copy. finally, on the bottom copy, all the raised text for last name, date of birth, issue date, and DL number is slightly shifted to the left, instead of lining up with the text right below it.
so all those issues are only issues with the bottom copy in the pic, the top copy does not have any of those issues. but one issues that BOTH have is that on the back, there is some writing and where it says 'material' there is a typo that is 'meterial'. pretty sure this will be easily fixed with V2 tho. other than that, there is a really fine red line right underneath the photo that i don't see in sample pics online, so i'm not sure its supposed to be there. also, there is some really small black text underneath the photo that almost looks like a smudge. i think its supposed to be there, but the line of text in the sample pics looks a little longer and not as close to the photo.
Photoshop (10/10): i love IDs that have greyscale photos because they look so much more real. its the perfect amount of zoomed in and just looks really good, honestly the first ID i've ever gotten where my photo didn't make me cringe when I opened the package.
the ghost image isn't a ghost image, its like a negative version of my photo. i think its called a window, but i've never had an id with that so i'm not sure how to test how good it is. if anyone has info on that comment it and i can update this
OVI/Holo (9/10): to my understanding this ID doesn't have OVI or holos? instead it has what appears to be clear raised text in a flower design all over it. i can't really compare it since all i have are sample pics from the internet, but it looks really good on the top copy, smooth lines and precise lettering and images. the bottom copy also looks pretty good, but where one of the curved lines begins on the left edge, there a tiny spot where its smudged, and this is visible in the light.
UV (N/A): i don't have a UV light so i can't check, but if i find someone who does i'll update this
Scanning (9.5/10): scans right on everything including BCS, except zip code has the first 5 numbers correct and then has 0000 instead of the postal code i supplied. this is so minor though
Signature (10/10): beautiful. just absolutely magnificent. looks real, placed perfectly, raised text just the right thickness. just so beautiful.
Conclusion (10/10): realistically, the bottom copy is like a 9.5/10 and the top copy is like an 10/10.
with the typo on the back and the stuff underneath the photo being fixed and with slightly more vibrant colors, the top copy in the pic i linked would be a real winner. the bottom copy has some spacing and alignment issues as i explained, but i assume those have already been fixed considering the top copy doesn't have those issues. another thing i didn't mention is that the top copy has a couple stray pieces of dust that look like they got caught under the laminate, but if these weren't free review copies that would be an easy thing to ask for a reprint for. overall, for a V1 id thats pretty new and has some interesting security features, this is spicy and i think the V2 will be a real stunner.
i might even start using this as my main fake, since i only really use it at grocery stores and maybe restaurants. as someone who has never ordered from OIS before and got the chance to get free review copies, i'm hecka impressed and sold on his quality. definitely gonna be ordering one his cali's soon to test it instate!
