Intro Finally writing this review, don't know why it took me so long to get around to it. But here it is, the new Wyoming ID from OIS. The least populated state in America, but they actually have a pretty nice ID. I'm happy with it, it took a little longer than usual to get to me because it was during Christmas, and of course it scans. Cost is fair as nobody else seems to make the new Wyoming yet, so here's my opinion on it
Holo So this ID doesn't necessarily have holograms. Instead, it had a bunch of raised images with a texture to them as well as some laser engravings. If you look closely, you can see a couple small ranchers on horses in iconic Wyoming fashion. By the ID photo, there is a raised triangle with a design in it. I'm not exactly sure what it is, but I'm sure it has some kind of significance. Overall, these little details give this ID a more legit feel to it. Oh, forgot to mention there is also a raised triangle on the back, it appears to say "WYO" on the inside of it.
Template So this ID is pretty eye catching, with a lot of blue and light green. I honestly really like it and it looks nice. The ID also comes with some microprint in tiny banners saying "The Equality State". Not too big and it looks good. Wyoming is one of the many states that have begun to use a lens with theirs being in the top right. It has a textured feel and doesn't look all that bad, but it's something I have to mention. The ID is smooth/matte feeling and relatively flimsy which I'm sure is fine. The only raised text on this ID is actually on the back, where your DOB is on both sides of the barcode which is interesting. Overall, seems like a good job from OIS.
UV Wow, Wyoming kind of went all out on the UV, looks great. The UV pattern is made up of blue, green, and even a slight amount of purple. It's great looking. On the front, we have the state seal and some stars covering the entire front. On the back, we have what appears to be windows glowing from the state house and what looks to me like horses and fireworks. I love it lol.
Pohotoshop/Sig Sig looks fine like usual, my photo is a little different on this ID. From what I can see, the pictures on Wyoming IDS are a little darker and have almost a tannish/darker background than most states. This results in a darker picture. I don't mind, and I'm sure OIS did this intentionally
Conclusion OIS did a pretty nice job for this one being the first on the market. I'm sure they'll continue to improve as they pick up on more details, but for now I really like it. It's good looking and pretty eye catching. The only problem is, it's fucking Wyoming. I'm sure a couple Western and Midwest states could believe it, but confidence is going to be key with this ID. Definitely would recommend this for the Western Region of the US. Give this hard to find ID a try from OIS!
