Ordered tons of ID's from OIS last year and never got around to doing the review, so here it is!
Uncertainty factor: 8/10, two most distinct differences between the OIS and the real are the background color for the photo, and the overall nature of the ID. The real is much shinier and glossy, whereas the OIS is more matte. The DMV background is more teal, and the OIS is more blue.
Cost: 7/10, we got these when they were pricier but right now you can get them about 40$ cheaper. If this were a recent order, I would give it a solid 8.5/10
Communication: 10/10, OIS even reached out to inform us of someone's photo that wouldn't turn out too good and had us retake it. Always replied to emails within one business day.
Shipping: 10/10, arrived in about 5 days after they gave us the tracking number which was great.
Photoshop: 7/10, ear shadows look good and colors are solid, but the background color needs work. Especially side by side, it's a day and night difference.
Template: 8.5/10, the color and placement is all pretty good. However, the real's text is all noticeably sharper and brighter.
Something interesting I noticed is that on the real ID, the gold pan guy is actually overlapping slightly with the gold bear. I haven't seen that on other real's to my knowledge?
Pros: Colors seem to be 1:1, margins and spacing is all in line with the real, raised text feels the same as the real.
Cons: Signature could be moved up and bolder, colors a bit brighter. Back of ID text was significantly more blurry than the real, and it was like that on nearly all ID's we received.
Look and Feel: 8/10, ID feels real but is definitely thicker than the real. The raised text feels identical.
Hologram/OVI/UV: 9/10, but another interesting point of contention. As you can see in the pictures, the real ID doesn't have a UV of the golden gate bridge? The real was issued in September 2020, so it's not an early ID.
Signature: 6/10, should be higher and closer to the photo and more bold and distinct.
Conclusion: 7.5/10, the ID is good enough to buy liquor at any store or supermarket, and I have used them for as much over the past year, as well as at bars and restaurants. I wouldn't use it at stricter bars, however; I've had one taken at a local brewery infamous for their keen eye, and I've had one taken at Vegas clubs and two taken on Broadway. However, I've also gotten in about a dozen times, so they definitely work - just don't expect to get in everywhere.
