Communication: 10/10
I've ordered one too many IDs from FYD and despite being a reseller with close to 10k in orders from them, the support is god awful. Waiting a week to get a one word response that doesn't address your concern or solve your problem is the norm, and at times they'll make you post a positive review on TrustPilot before they'll resolve your issue or answer your ticket.
So, those are the expectations I came in with with my first order with 21done. These guys set the bar when it comes to communication and support. I always received responses within 2 hours of my message being sent, and when they were online on Wickr, the response time was within minutes with detailed answers. They clearly put effort in trying to differentiate themselves from the rest of the vendors here, and it shows.
I had an issue with the first 3 IDs that I ordered. The first one was a problematic template (which they fixed), so he reshipped me another one and I received it in 2 days. That one had some small problems as well (which they acknowledged and fixed), and then sent me another replacement which landed in 2 days. My third package had a bend in the ID, which they acknowledged and replaced.
Before each reship, 21done acknowledged that they had made a mistake and that they were ironing out the issues in their new system and that I had happened to order during an unlucky time. They apologized for the back to back issues, saying that it was out of the norm and that they just finished fixing the issues.
For my fourth shipment, they sent me 4 (!) IDs instead of one to make up for the issues, and sent me the package through FedEx overnight shipping because I needed it for an event the day after the pack landed. Many times I offered to pay for the duplicates and even offered to pay for the FedEx overnight, but they refused to accept extra payment and were very apologetic for the first three IDs being problematic and willing to make it right.
These guys are second to none when it comes to customer support and caring for the customers.
Cost: 9/10
I ordered only a single ID, so I did pay a bit more than I would have if I went with a budget vendor. But, you get what you pay for, and the final pack contained IDs that looked amazing and ones that I'm confident using.
Shipping: 10/10
Despite it taking 4 attempts to get right, it took ~10 days for me to receive all 4 packages. One FYD shipment would have taken longer than all 4 shipments of 21done combined, despite both being domestic.
Photoshop: 10/10
Great cropping + ear shadows look natural.
Template: 10/10
These guys are constantly changing the template from what I see. I did read all the reviews before ordering one, and the templates have been updated based on feedback from what I can see and they've done several iterations of the same ID in the few months they've been in business.
It's always nice seeing a vendor focus only on a single state. I'm a big fan of Lucy for this reason as well, but since I'm using this in Ann Arbor (MI), an in-state from them likely wouldn't cut it.
UV: 10/10
No complaints.
Scanning: 10/10
Scans fine and the info shows on PDF417 scanners.
Signature: 10/10
I have a FYD SC that I used an online signature generator for, and that was a callout and caused my ID to be taken away when using it once (specifically cited by the bouncer that the letters look too perfect.) So, the fact that they included a link to a sketchpad where you can create your own signature was
Conclusion: 10/10
Can't go wrong with these guys. They set the bar when it comes to service, and it's clear they're always making their stuff better. If you need an ID quickly, these are your guys.
