I work in penetration testing for a boutique security research firm - we get hired by companies to test their corporate security by attempting to circumvent it.
I handle the physical infiltration of facilities - often times this requires deception involving the use of forged documents. I have successfully used some of the products offered by the vendors here, and I appreciate the wizardry it takes to make them.
Lately, we are failing to gain access due to a new trend in verification that involves checking IDs and driver licenses against internal employee databases as well as using background checking services like TLO and LexisNexis.
So the days of just flashing a good looking fake at the guard are over.
So I totally get why its a huge red flag when a guy in his 40's starts asking for specific numbers and a barcode that scans perfectly -- and on one hand I'm glad its been tough to get this problem solved.
On the other hand, unless I can find a vendor to work with, I'm about to have to start making these on my own...and I don't want to do that.
Hit me back if you feel okay with lending us a hand.
Regards
