ID VIKING NEW ILLINOIS REVIEW ( link )

This is the first novelty ID I have ever owned, I actually got scammed by SPBIDS back in the day when he had his “closing sale”. Very impressed with the quality to price ratio on this one. Cost 10/10: Ordered during a sale and received 2 ids for $49

Shipping 9/10: Ordered on 5/10, received on 5/21. I had read a lot of mixed stuff on viking’s shipping but for me it was a really fast turnaround (I live on the east coast)

Signature 10/10: Signature looks awesome on both ids

Template 10/10: i Have never actually seen a real Illinois ID so I Can’t comment on the template but all the holagrams are visible, it scans on BCS and it looks correct to me

Picture 10/10: Photo looks just how it should, Viking is a beast w the photoshop

UV: Don’t have a UV light so I’m not sure on this one

Scanning 10/10: It scans on BCS, have not used in public yet.

Overall 9/10: solid ID, great price, quick shipping. The only complaint I have is that the front of the ID feels a little different from the back but this is an easy fix I plan on putting a tad bit of petroleum jelly on it. Give it a more slick feel.

Other than the reds being beyond washed out and the overdone blue hue over the whole temp that messes up what otherwise seems like a good attempt at color matching, the thing that makes this nowhere near a 10/10 is that it is way too close to the 2016 nIL issue in spacing of "Illinois" and the main portrait.
The only IDs made with that spacing were issued in late 2016 early 17.
1D Informational bar-code looking a lil far over to the left on the back as well.
Based on your description of the feel, it does not need modification as the back should be slightly less smooth than the front-not matte-but clearly distinguishable from the front.

its far from a 10 I agree but no one is going to notice illinois and the pics space, this will be called on the blue . U know as much as i do that the blue on a real is light and washed out in the middle, this one is a strong powerful blue. Also the shadow arounf abe looks like they took abe and pasted him in the temp since its so white of a shadow around it.

Like I said, can’t really comment on the template I’ve never seen a real Illinois. However, this picture was taken with flash and the red isn’t as washed as it appears.

Hey thanks for the review!! Some of the comments are right. One of the layers of lines for some reason recently got saved as a darker blue than we normally use. I'm having production fix this up now and I've contacted you via email to also mention this too :)

Thankfully we have a few Illinois-Anal folks on this board to pick em apart :)
