Epson SC P700 ( link )

Anyone have any insight onto how much better/if its better than the p600? it boasts a 10 channel print head among other 'revolutionary' changes. It replaces the p600 but was built from the ground up. Anyway, enough epson blowing. I was considerting buying a p600 but then saw this, any thoughts?

Also, I 'm under the impression some templates are designed specifically around the p600's parameters, how 'compatible' would those templates be with a p700 (educated guess) or vs and other printer.

Just saw this. Get three p600s. Two will run and one will be backup/parts. A lot of temps are color matched for the p600 and it’s just not worth fucking with

If you were to constantly switch between matte black and photo black it would make sense. You won't be doing that.

Appreciate the responses. How much of a difference is the upgrade from 2.6 picolitre dropsize to 1.5 and the additional violet channel? Are any vendors looking to update their templates to color match the p700? Or is it flat just not a big enough upgrade to get excited over and templates will only be updated when they are practically forced to?

Anyway, I hope I'm asking the right questions, I'm still somewhat new to this. I'm about to purchase one or the other, leaning towards the 600 for now for the compatability, then the 700 down the line, it's not like another $800 would kill me. Thanks guys
