Is it okay if there are shadows around my face but not on it? I can’t seem to get rid of the shadows around my face even with the flash and lights on.

No fucking shadows at all. IDK what ur doing but try more light just no shadows.

wrong. ideally there are ear shadows. you just don't want shadows on the face or neck
I mean no shadows on the face like he is talking about. Also how would u take a pic without ear shadows. IDK just no shadows on ur face.
no flash causes no ear shadows, and can also leave shadows on the face
