Canadian fake in America ( self )

Hey I just lost my fake of 3 years, now I only need one for a year so I don’t really care that much about the quality. But is there any downside to using a Canadian fake in America? I think it’d be kinda funny, or at least lead to some sort of funny conversation, but I feel like I remember there being some downside. Hope not. Thanks

If this is a real question in any way - for some reason many Canadians (or those without US IDs) tend to carry passports to bars, liquor stores, and the like - so sometimes they'll just tell you to fuck off and come back with a passport.

Facts. My friend had this issue so he printed out a picture of "his passport" (different country) and when bouncers would say anything he would just tell them that he's not dumb enough to carry his real passport to a bar that would be outrageous. usually they let him in
