Intro: Received this ID for review a long time ago, during midterms for school. I completely forgot about it because I was stressing over finals and some other personal shit, so I never got the chance to review it. Sorry about that Evolved. Anyways, here it is in all it’s glory. I also have AZ from Evolved which I will post a review of soon.
Uncertainty Factor: I’m going to say Medium. I have pictures of a real o21 NC (Huge shoutout to @WildPeanut for sending me pictures of his sister’s ID lol), and I sent pictures of the fake which he gave me pointers on what was off about it. I also have Barbook pictures as always but I’m relying more on the real pictures as the book scan sucks ass.
Communication: Communication is really good, responds to shit pretty fast especially on discord or by email I’ve never waited more than like 2 days for them to get back to me. CS guy on discord seems like a cool guy in general, not sure if it’s the same as other CS forms.
Cost: Got for free, but they have a 50-dollar BOGO code for reviews, which is a great deal for the quality of their IDs, especially from a domestic vendor. ID normally costs 100 which is pretty standard, if not just a bit high, but I don’t really think anyone’s paying without a group.
Shipping: Evolved’s shipping takes a bit longer than other vendors, which is just a bit disappointing considering they are domestic. However, when I ordered they were just fixing up some production problems and apparently have been getting faster. I think these came in 3-4 weeks from ordering, which isn’t too bad. If you’re in a rush, maybe consider another vendor but otherwise not bad at all. No stealth as again, they’re domestic.
Photoshop: Background color looks very, very slightly too dark/vibrant but not really a big deal at all. Shadows and cropping around the hair look really good, very similar to the real. No complaints here.
Template: Besides a few fonts being just a little bit off (like the DRIVER LISENCE text at the top), this ID looks pretty good. Only somewhat noticeable flaw I can see is that the building in the center background is slightly too large and the wrong color. Because I have pictures of the real attached, I’m not going to get too into it, I’ll let you decide for yourself.
Look and Feel: Now this might be the biggest problem with the ID. I asked Peanut how the real one felt, and he said pretty thin; From what I understand it is comparable to oWA if anyone knows what that feels like (a bit thinner than IL). Evolved’s version is quite thick, more like a school ID or a PVC/Polycarb ID. I think this is a problem because it takes away a lot of the useability for border states especially if someone lives near the border or wants to use it in a popular tourist spot like Myrtle Beach, it will be a dead giveaway to anyone who is somewhat familiar with the real NC.
Security Features: UV – Looks to be all there and nothing seems misplaced, however I don’t have UV pics of the real to compare to right now so you can see from the attached pictures. OVI/Holo – Yeah, looks good especially because this ID is newly 21; of course, as any ID, real or fake, gets used more the holos will fade and noticeably scratch, but they look fine for now. Perforations - Now this is another thing that I was told by Peanut is noticeable. The perf holes are way too big, to the point where you can see them without even shining a light through. The actual perf is cut out well and shines fine under a light, but the holes themselves are big. On the real, they are pretty much invisible without holding a light behind it.
Conclusion: Most of the features of the ID itself are solid, very good font and color matching except for what I noted in the section. Evolved is a great vendor who I have had many great experiences in the past with. If he could fix the thickness issue (which honestly might not be an issue, that is just what from I understand) and the slight template adjustments, this would be an amazing ID to use around the south and possibly even the Midwest. For now, I would say that this ID is alright, but you might not want to use it in a place where North Carolina IDs are common, like tourist destinations or even state borders.
