You'll be happy to know we're aware of all this and can confirm that almost all of these facts are correct.

To add to OP's post:

1) It is always possible to renew your license after your 21st and from what we know many people can come in 2 weeks prior to their 21st to renew their license. The DMV will issue your license based on when you come in. This could be on your 21st birthday but not necessarily.

6) REAL ID Act issuance was enacted after Aug 31st. So if your ID was issued in August, you do not have the Real ID star.

18) The laminates are polycarbonate, but yes, the ID itself is teslin.

21) The feel of MI ID is satin which is similar to other states: nIL, nCA etc. etc. It's difficult to replicate because the laminates used by the DMV are difficult to source and are laminated through different methods than are typically available to vendors.

  1. You are very correct. Never considered it.
  2. According to local news, Aug. 28 is when it began: http://www.mlive.com/news/index.ssf/2017/08/planning_to_fly_federal_law_ma.html. I am slightly confused, though, as I have seen an ID from Aug. 24 with a star and the person was elderly and clearly had no intentions of using a novelty ID (not my choice to ID everyone, it's my boss).
  3. Never knew that, thank you.
  4. Michigan IDs have a very unique feel but it is far from uniform. If your texture is off, it's not that strange. Real IDs all have slightly different textures.

Something I didn't include but feel I might as well, the ghost picture is sometimes extremely faded and the blues are not always uniformed.

how is BB's Michigan?

http://www.bogusbraxtor.com/product/mi/

I don't think my group and I will go to MI so it doesn't need to be instate passable but ive heard bb is one of the best vendors right now

temp looks ok imo. the initial-dobyear abbreviation above the bridge is too bold and the fonts on the temp itself look off as well as color matching, not as bad as g0d tho. The ovi looks like it isnt vibrant enough compared to a real. Nort sure if there is raised for the dob on the right middle but it rubs off on reals. Def isn't isp but if you can get it for a good price with a group order it probably would be good for OOS use. Seems the only thing holding vendors back from making an isp MI is the OVI, they just cant get it right (Ted was the closest at the time and still is).

The OVI on Ted's was actually too bright and his silver coloration was slightly lacking. We've switched over to real OVI and most of the complaints about our OVI are unfounded. (MICHIGAN being over portrait when it does that on the real) A lot of the time, the complaints about our OVI come from people in states that still issue PVC or out of state with IDs with different security features. Otherwise, I would say our ID is ISP as a great majority of our customers are instate.

I will agree on the silver OVI lacking on the ted but it does mimic how invisible it goes quite well. I have had one of your ids pulled already because they were looking directly at the OVI so it must be one of the weaker points of the id. Don't get me wrong you are currently selling the best MI but that doesn't mean there are things that could be improved upon.

The thing is our OVI is closer. I don't believe they looked at the OVI but more so at your Portrait.

I can personally vouch for IDLucy that his IDs are in-state passable outside of college towns. I disagree with your comment about Ted's OVI, though. I have seen legitimate IDs that are very bright and some that are very dim. Same with the ghost pictures. Sometimes the ghost picture is very dark or extremely light.

I can confirm, MICHIGAN does cover up the photo.

I've never handled one in person for a deep inspection. I do, however, take them quite frequently. They immediately fail in-state. If you look at the picture, he has 7 lines at the bottom in a wave pattern. This doesn't happen whatsoever on an actual MI and is very easily taken for that reason: https://i.imgur.com/hPkat8f.jpg The signature is also very bold for some reason and looks like it was in sharpie. Actual signatures are dark but not as bold.

I won't be in state really, passible out of state? better than evolvedids? thats what I have now and want to upgrade to something little more reliable (my groups evolves don't even scan)

Very sorry about the extreme delay. Typically I would just PM but I feel this is significant enough: the ID itself barely matters.

It's 98 per cent attitude, 1 per cent the legitimacy of the ID, and 1 more per cent luck.
