I want to start making ME IDs, tips on printers, other advice? Thank you! ( self )

Hi all. I want to start making Maine IDs, I've been doing some research, here's what I got so far.

  1. I have the Maine template! Not sure if it's perfect but upon first glance it appears just the same as the real one I have.

  2. I believe the Maine ID is printed on Teslin? Please correct me if I'm wrong!

  3. In terms of holograms, UV, etc, this is what I've found out: For the template that I will be using, I think the only thing I need is the gray overlays sold by /u/Budgetfakes.com . The normal ID card has some other sort of hologram on it, but it appears the drivers license simply needs that. There might be UV ink, but I'm struggling to find out what it looks like, I'll run the real one I have through a UV light later. Does anyone know where I can get the UV part, if there is one?

  4. Am I missing anything else? Card itself, matte sheet thing, perhaps UV on top of it all.

  5. Would like to do scannable, no clue where to go for that! Please point me in the right direction if you know.

  6. In terms of printers, what should I look for? I looked around on the sub, is it true that the Epson R280 is a good choice for the UV (if I need UV)? I pretty much only want to print Maine IDs. Can I also do the ID with this printer? If not, what would you suggest?

if your talking about old ME it doesnt have uv. all u need is front ovi sheet , a plain back lam sheet and teslin paper . then a clear overlay on front not sure if on back to as i havent looked at an old me in a while.

Thank you for the reply! So the ID would be composed of:

  1. Teslin card
  2. The OVI sheet (which I can order from you guys)
  3. A plain overlay on the back, maybe on the front as well.

Great! Do you have any suggestion as to which printer is the best for a Teslin card?

ME is the easiest ID that is close to us! Should be able to sell them at a good price considering we'll bang them out somewhat quick since it'll be low volume/local sales (no online stuff)

Me is a great sell for costs and times. It's the cheapest teslin state to make and fastest.
