OIS CO 2020 Review
Intro: Finally getting around to reviewing this one, I've had it for a bit now. I'm happy to see OIS has updated the CO template.
Uncertainty factor: High - Scans and barbook.
Communication: Pretty good, same as always.
Cost: Review ID so free but normal price is $100 which is on the higher end without group rates.
Shipping: Shipped 6 days after confirmation, arrived 14 days after. Pretty good.
Photoshop: Looks pretty nice to me, I'd say better than most IDs I've seen.
Template: Don't have a real to compare to, but this template looks really good compared to barbook and online pics. Only thing I've noticed is the font looks a little off, I think it was changed when they updated the template.
Something else I noticed was that the whole text layer on the front is a little too far up vertically, the text isn't quite in line and you can see that the Colorado symbol in the top right isn't centered in its box.
Look and Feel: I really like the feel of this ID. Feels about right in terms of thickness and flexibility. I really like the raised design with flowers and "State of Colorado" too, feels super sexy. One issue, however, both magstrips have areas where they're like peeled off (see pics).
Window: Looks pretty nice but doesn't invert like real IDs.
UV: The UV bleed through the card seems pretty under control, UV is aligned nicely. It does, however, bleed through the window a lot, but it might also do this on reals for all I know.
Scanning: Weird issue here, this ID is very hard to get to scan. Eventually BCS finds it and it seems to pass, but it's very finicky.
Signature: Looks fine to me.
Conclusion: Very nice ID and one of my favorites in terms of feel. I would just like to see the scanning issues fixed really, I'd would use a different ID anywhere that scans regularly.
