I'm working on making a barcode that can pass BCS but just can't get it to work. Even when I encode the exact same information on the barcode, BCS recognizes it as fake. Comparing the hex of a legit barcode to one that I made using https://www.onlinebarcodereader(.)com/ I see that the hex is exactly the same. So I'm wondering how BCS recognizes the barcode as fake. Is BCS checking for the ECC, encoding format (ISO-8859-1), or rows and columns?
Also, when I scan a ID that BCS recognizes as fake the only data that appears to be formatted incorrectly is the height, as it is formatted in inches not feet. Is this what BCS is specifically scanning differently since the new update?
Finally, when scanning barcodes such as those on the AAMVA card design standard it scans them as fake. Does this mean that the barcode on this guide is not the same as those on real licenses?
