Is a small move really worth the hassle? ( self )

Moving one big item sounds simple, but my experience says otherwise. I had to shift a heavy antique dresser to my sister’s place, thinking it’d be a quick job. Nope! The stairs were too narrow, my car was too small, and hiring a random van service almost wrecked the dresser. By the time it was over, I wished I had just sold the thing instead. Anyone else had a nightmare with a so-called "easy" move?
