I have a scenario I have a real michgan id I decoded barcode and encoded my barcode and generated it on barcode tec how are stores telling me its fake when they scan back

there are invisible characters in the barcode that are hard to get right on sites like that, you probably need to use a specialized tool that will handle the formatting of it including those invisible characters.
