Need help creating teslin fakes ( self )

What the title says, I have like 90% of the materials and after a bit of testing I haven't gotten as far as I'd liked to. I just can't figure out what to do to make the IDs feel real. I laminated the teslin that I cut out with a hologram from an OVI sheet and tested between several laminate pouches, 5mil and 10 mil. Clear and matte ones that don't have the right feel. I used PET but I could only find 1.5 mil and it peeled right off and was hard to use. All I need help with is the lamination process, everything else I have down pat. Also looking for a cheaper supplier once I get this down to purchase the materials from. Feel free to pm me with tips, we can speak through wickr as well. Trying to make nIL fakes.

I doubt it lol it's literally brand new. It cuts fine that isn't the problem I'm having at least I don't think it is.

yea but when i first started the diecutter i was using somehow made my shit feel like paper as soon i i got a different brand ids felt like actual ids

Hmm, what brand do you use? I use the stark one, so far it has been alright, cuts clean after cleaning the black paint shit off of it.

Your first mistake is using laminate pouches. Then why would u be putting your ovi lam with your teslin in a pouch?

Oh I didn't, I kinda cut the pouch in half and used it to laminate the back of the ID. I only used the full pouches when experimenting with the hologram stickers which gave me poor results. I don't know the proper way to make them, that's why I'm asking for help lol.

Scotch one, but I'm most likely going to invest in roll laminater since it only has options for 3mil and 5mil. Any suggestions on what brand would be best?

Whelp looks like I need to purchase one of those, esp since the ovi lam I use is 7 mil and my laminator only goes up to 5mil.

And you can actually laminate up to 10mil on the scotch

I used the scotch lamintor to. What I did was I bought 5mil lam sheets, laminate the card then put it between a book to cool off an flatten. then I laminate my already laminate card again with more 5mil laminate which makes it 10mil, now then I put it in the book again to cool and flatten then run it through the lamintor again to make sure everything's together. Try that an let me know

What state r u doing to need 10 as most states use 7mil fron 10 mil tes , 7 mil back.

I'll have to try that and see how it works, but budgetfakes is right because my ovi laminate is 7mil as he says. You probably need a laminator that has a 7mil option. Mine only has 3 and 5 and I think it's like that for all scotch lams, not sure though.

Easy way to do nil print template on your 10 mil perf sheet, then put the uv on it. Get your 7mil from ovi sheet and a plain 7 mil back and laminate it. punch them out your done.

Thanks, what material do you recommend for the back? The front still woulnd't feel like a real ID cause the ovi lams have like a matte finish. Isn't there another material I need as well?

front/back=gloss. will be a closer finish once they get worn in a bit then full on matte
