OIS nCT Review Preface-
Received this ID a little while ago but my friend from CT just turned 21 so I finally had a real to compare it against.

Confidence level- Very high. Comparing against a real o21 nCT. Unfortunately my friend whose real I was comparing against asked me not to scan/take pictures of their ID due to privacy concerns so I respected that.

Communication 10/10 Never needed to contact OIS because automatic tracking was provided and the website is very good about letting you know what is happening with your order, telling you if it’s confirmed, in progress, shipped, etc.

Price- 6/10. Kinda pricey. If I had to do it again at this price point id get the nMA or nPA. But still fairly priced for a high security state on Teslin.

Shipping/Turnaround- 10/10 From placing the order to delivery was about 2 weeks. That was non-rush shipping so it came a little slower. Regardless, the 2 weeks is a pretty good time frame. I’ve had it take a lot longer with other vendors.

Stealth- 6/10 To be honest, everyone back on r/fakeid would praise the hell out of OIS stealth and I just don’t think it lived up to the hype. Maybe it’s because this was a small group of people and not a huge mega order, but the stealth was pretty basic. On the upside the small order size was likely responsible for the fast turnaround time. And despite the basic stealth, it got to the USA with no issues though so no big deal.

Template- 8/10 This is definitely the best nCT I have ever seen.

The microprint is there, color matching is spectacular. The colors on the OIS are more vibrant than other fakes I've seen, and The plane/flower design is very well defined and super close to the real. My biggest complaint about this template is that the “blue background” where the pictures get photoshopped onto is a little too blue. Basically the OIS blue background is darker and more a defined blue than the one on the real. The lines on the template also show up better behind the blue background on the real. On the OIS one they are sort of drowned out by the heavy blue background. I think this could maybe be fixed by adjusting the transparency on that layer of the template to be a little more transparent. Perfs are there, but are also visible to the naked eye, so... who knows.

Basically, this ID does not scream “I AM A FAKE ID” at first glance and that’s really all you need.

Photoshop- 7/10 The tiny wavy lines show up on my face, as intended, Minimal ear shadows though and not a whole lot of gradient blending. It kinda just goes face——>blue. Not the worst Ps I’ve seen, but not the best either. It’s adequate and it doesn’t look like a 12 year old did it, so it’s fine with me.

OVI- 7/10 It’s there. You can see it when you move it around under a light. It’s not quite the same as the real IDs OVI. It’s kinda hard to explain but the real ID has a more drastic shift in how much you can see it. It goes from barely there to really really bright. The OIS goes from “ehh its there” to “ok I kinda see it a little more now.”

Again, not anything that you’d see without comparing to a real. If a bouncer is just checking “is the OVI there” then it is perfectly fine. Gets the job done.

UV- 5/10. Tested with a 365nm light. This is where this ID really falls down. If there is one thing that is going tomake this ID fail you, it’s the black light. So yeah, the stuff shows up. But it’s really not clear or as defined as on the real. The CT state outline is barely visible. The lines around the plane and the “Connecticut”text on the bottom of the ID are not consistently bright or even visible, they kinda fade in and out. On the real they are more solid and a little brighter. Just look at the pictures and you will see what I mean.

Bending/Feel/Material- 9/10 Ok I know the bend test is not a real thing and that real IDs will crease if you bend them hard enough (even teslin.) However, many many bouncers still like to use this test because it eliminates some of the more terrible fakes you can get straight away. If a bouncer sees an old South Carolina or old CT, he’s gonna bend the shit out of it just for the laughs.

This ID does a great job. Bends end to end with no problems. Made on real teslin paper. The only reason it’s not getting a 10/10 is that it’s slightly thinner than the real.

Scanning- 7/10 Ok scanning is a big controversy I know I know. Before NANI jumps down my throat lol (love you NANI) I’m going to say that I know this barcode is off when it comes to the under the hood formatting and encoding. Don’t know if it scans 1:1 with a real because my friend asked me not to scan theirs. But it passes BCS (While I know BCS is a shit show and it’s not reliable, it’s what some of the bars around me use. So you gotta pass it.) Everything shows up fine on PDF-417 as well and there are no glaring errors. I’m guessing that it would work fine at a gas station or grocery store, with basic scanners. Not so confident about more advanced setups.

Conclusion 8/10 Honestly kinda pricy for an ID with lackluster UV. Like I said, I'd get the nPA or nMA if I were doing it again. Still, this ID is useful because its is leagues above most of the other nCT's out in the wild. Since I use this in an area saturated with CT fakes, just by virtue of being better than the IDs the people in front of me used, its a good purchase. I'm happy enough with the product. A good effort from OIS, UV could be improved to make this a truly incredible ID.
