OIS nNY V3
Shipping [8/10] - took a decent amount of time and the first order got seized however OIS customer service is great and they were quick to send me reprints. In fact, they were already on it before I even emailed them.
Service [10/10] - As always I believe that OIS has the best CS in the biz and all of their responses whether it be through email or wickr were fast.
Uncertainty Level [Mid-Low] - I did a lot of research into how these ID's are supposed to look and feel and I have seen a few of these in person.
Cost [7/10] - Although being fairly expensive, if you get in on or host a big group order they become much more attainable. However I do not recommend single person orders. Even if you buy three ID's you will get a decent discount.
Signature [8/10] - New York ID's have a specific feel to their raised signature and to OIS did a fairly good job replicating it. The real physical feels like the raised portion is slightly more abrasive. (Sorry it is hard to describe the feeling right. Just know it is not spot on but it is very close to it)
Template [6/10] - At a quick glance the template is good (I do not recommend in state use I will clarify later) but if you or a bouncer looks very closely at some of the lettering there are Very, very small print smudges. Almost not noticeable to the human eye. They are so small you would need to zoom in on a camera to see. Other than that the micro-print is good and overall colors are extremely similar. I also don’t have a UV light but someone in the comments informed me it is not close. Also they are missing a real ID star which is on all NY IDs now so it is lacking in a ew areas.
Picture [6/10] - This ID is very solid. The only downfall is the picture. New York ID's have a very crisp and clear image. I made sure that the image which was supplied was high-quality but I think that since most other states downgrade the photo quality on their ID's the same was assumed for NY. If the photo was a little more high quality as printed on the ID with slightly less shadows, I think it would be close to ISP.
Window [10/10] - They did a very good job on the window, the picture is very clear through it, the same level of clarity as a real.
Scanning [10/10] - Scans at my local CVs and 7-11. Also worked on Scanr and BCS
Bend/Other Tests [10/10] - I can say with pretty high confidence that the material that OIS uses to make these ID's is extremely similar if not the same as a real. They flex the same way and New York ID's actually have another test. If you drop them on a flat surface and they rattle around they are supposed to sound like a CD when it hits the floor. The OIS V3 emulates that sound near perfect.
Overall Experience [8.3/10] - This is a solid review with a few small drawbacks namely the photo. For this reason I do not think it is ISP however I think it would fly anywhere in the northeast or any other part of the country for that matter. Upon a quick glance it is very hard to distinguish if it real or fake with the only determining factor being the photo.
I hope this review helped you make a decision if you are looking to buy and I really do think that OIS is the best vendor as I and people I know have ordered from quite a few.
