Meh. Will just make it easier to shill and harder to spot shills. When you make reviewers talk about the ID as opposed to check a box, experienced users and vendors will know the deal and can correct them or call them out on it

Agreed the point is to get rid of the shills. The only way to do that is to make it basic review.

took 2 weeks to come no real issues here is pics to see for yourself.

eh, I like the idea of leaving scores and comments too. I know you don't. Helps educate users and build community.

I actually like reading reviews for states I'm not familiar with, if someone who has knowledge of the WA EDL or an actual ID on hand wants to give context to photos of Vendor ABC's WA EDL, that's more useful to me as someone who rarely ever sees them-
On the other hand I think there's space for the other type of review Budget is talking about, for example some people I know wanted a bunch of Dove MO's so I hooked them up, when I wrote the review for that I didn't feel comfortable going too deep into it bc of how little I know ab the state, so it was more of the "It got here fast pics done", I think a good system would allow for both in depth looks and brevity-I also believe our users for the most part can judge who seems credible and who doesn't

Or have a Sal certified^tm review system :)

I see your point but there are a lot of protections against shills that I can build into the system, especially the way shills are working now. For instance, no one will be able to comment on the UV, feel, or material unless they can show they have access to a physical. Also, it removes the opportunity for shills to be like "I haVE nO QaY to TeSt It buT I'M SUrE it's ThEre" as they are fond of saying. If you're going to say the UV is there, you need to prove it and show us. Essentially this system is designed to ensure people can only comment on things they can verify. If they say UV is a 10/10, they'll need to provide apicture, which you can judge if its really 10/10. This will make it so theres no more of those half-ass reviews saying "everythings's there, 10/10, heres a shitty pic of the front with snapchat scribbles over the info"

Your system is no better than the current one we have now. All the problems would be multiplied.

We could also add a comments box for each section where the reviewer must explain/justify their rating on the checkboxes, which will tell us if they know what they are talking about. I just think the biggest issue right now is that reviews are not standardized or held to any real uniform criteria for legitimacy, so shills can just say whatever they want and not have to prove it.

The biggest problem is nobody speaks up on shitty reviews. That's the only issue really

2 major things is How do we get rid of most of the shills or at least make the shills mean nothing. Thats get rid of the point system and make reviews basic. The reason the point system doesnt work is because everyone has a different way of looking at things. To be Victoria justice is a 10 , but shes not a 10 to other people . Some people love papa johns or dominos i think both pizza is a 1 . So you can't have a points system then say so and so is wrong its not a 10 or 8 or 6 .

So have a qualified 3rd party rate the IDs :)

Ford doesn't rate their own cars, experts do

Problem is expert would have to have a real of every state or its not really going to work out.

Now if vendors really wanted to see who has the best and shittiest we would all send a copy of each state to someone who has a real. He then takes a picture of them all with the real so then people could see for real . But u know vendors wont do that because the overhyped guys usually have shit ids.

I've had darn close :)

You could have a person for each state, I could do CA :)

I totally get you point budget, youre right that part of my system would encourage shilling. I do think its valuable to have people talk about the IDs a little though bcs thats how the newbies can learn.

I like it, answers everything I want to know about a new id

MoonMonster

Thats a really executed and thoughtful layout but 4 pages is just too much. Too easy for shills.... I have to agree with budget... Keep it simple and let buyers decide for themselves.

i would DEFINITELY say add a comments section to IDs. makes it way more of a two-way street

All these ideas with point systems will keep the shills going so might as well just keep the system we got now then.
