Anyone have experience using a US fake in Canada at dispensaries? ( self )

I’m roadtripping up to Canada with some friends this summer. We are all 18 unfortunately, so we cannot take advantage of the minimum 19 years old to purchase cannabis legally in some provinces. Alberta is the only province that allows 18 year olds, however it’s very out of the way for us and would require a lot of extra gas and driving.

Our original thought was that we didn’t think it’d be too hard finding a chill 19 year old that was willing to buy us some bud for a little extra cash. However despite this being the most likely situation, I was wondering if y’all thought it’d be worth it to get a fake that says I’m 19 to use at dispensaries. I figured they don’t see American id’s too often, specifically low pop states.

I have a fake from a couple years ago (surprisingly worked very well despite me getting it young) however it’s been having issues with scanning, I’m assuming because it’s old. It also says I’m like 23 so it’s unbelievable af.

Quebec is also 18 and I went up recently and used my real id, they just glance at it to make sure it's you and you're above the age they don't really care that much so you should be fine.

I’ve gotten bud in canada in montreal & toronto, they don’t scan or anything in my experience they just look at your dob
