So this is the second half of the review order I received from idtop. It looks good and all, but unfortunately, it does not scan . It's a shame because it has some good features, but this obviously has to be fixed. I will still give it a review based on the quality of the ID, but scanning is crucial for today's standards. Anyways, here's my review.
Holo So this ID has two different holograms, both very simple. The one is 3 identical looking emblems with George Washington in them. They're nice because they don't pop out all really unless put directly in the light. The second holo on this ID is the pine tree. I think it's supposed to be more gold than bronze, but either way it gives off a nice shine in the light. Almost forgot, ' Washington ' is printed on the holo overlay as well, looks fine.
Template So the template is alright. Not bad not great. These IDs were really stuck together when I pulled them out of their packaging, so there's some like glue residue on them. Most of it comes off, but there's some under the overlay. ID's that have an overlay on them I usually put to a bend test of about a 50 degree angle give or take. Unfortunately, these IDs would not pass a strict bend test as the overlay began to came off. Bend test is a shitty thing to go off of, but it's worth mentioning. This ID also has some wavy microprinting at the bottom. Once put under light, it's pretty easy to read.
UV UV on the front is pretty good, essentially just makes the holos glow blue. The back however could use some improvement. It doesn't align properly over the green emblems as well as it almost looks airbrushed on...hopefully you'll see what I mean in the pictures.
PS/Sig Photoshop is fine, it's always fine lol. The sig however is once again a little small. Wish it could have been made a little bigger.
Conclusion I mean if this ID scanned, it wouldn't be too bad...some quality control issues sure, but it would still be usable for sure. I think idtop might be running a 20% discount? Not 100% sure. Either way, this ID could use some adjustments. I think the big 2 things this ID needs is obviously scanning, and then the UV on the back. Making it less prone to creasing would be nice, but not 100% necessary. Hope to see better things in the future.
