How Will Real ID Affect Fake IDs in the Future? ( self )

So right now real ID doesn't mean much aside from vendors having to put a star on their templates. But how ill it affect fakes in the long run? My friend seems to believe that once its a more mainstream thing and replaces the passport, that IDs will have a magnetic chip in them with info in it.

Sure, at first only airports will use this stuff, but what if clubs and all start to use it? How do you see the future of Real ID affecting fake IDs?

Not future , As places have rf already , Ontario has a lic made just for border crossing with Rf chip.

With an enhanced ID I can drive to Canada or Mexico but not fly i believe

One thing that has been true throughout history is criminals being 1 step ahead of government bureaucracy at all times. "oh no raised text!" - 1 year later a $1k machine to make raised text. Not much they can do besides lower the drinking age to something reasonable
