MagicFakes – Utah
Intro: Got this ID for review a few months ago but I was completely jammed with midterms and then finals and never had time to review.
Also I'm about to post a fuck load of reviews that I wrote up and never submitted to the forums.
Uncertainty Factor: High, comparing only to barbook pictures (attached below).
Cost: Got for review, but 2 IDs with MG35 was 78 bucks. I also ordered a bunch of nCA during MG50 for some friends and for 7 IDS the total was 162.5 (23 dollars per ID). I can confidently say that Magic has the best price/performance out of any vendor, especially with their constant discount codes.
Communication: Didn’t have to communicate but I’ve jerked off Magic a lot in my past reviews and for good reason, love em to death. Always respond within 24 hrs and the CS speaks perfect English so there’s no language barrier.
Shipping: Normal 2 weeks as expected, nothing surprising.
Photoshop: Probably my favorite photoshop job on any of the 2 dozen IDs I have. I think it’s due to me using a slightly lower quality picture that’s basically at the same angle as the DMV, as well as there being details on the template which cover the picture. Drop shadow is basically non-existent on the real and the fake, and the quality looks accurate (not “too HD” if that makes sense). Cropping looks pretty much the same as the Barbook one.
Template:
Not sure whether to put this in the photoshop or category but the background color looks way too vibrant, which normally I would say isn’t too big of a deal because my barbook scan is fucked, but it looks kinda wrong. Not going to comment too much on colors because of the above. The “UTAH” font at the top looks a bit too bold and short. Fonts all look really good and have the correct boldness, with the exception of the raised text being too bold. This is a flaw I’ve noticed with most of Magic’s raised text; however it isn’t that big of a deal and wouldn’t be noticeable without knowing what the real looks like. The Arch behind the donor text is way too red and should be much more transparent, the DONOR text is hard to read because of it, which might be noticeable to a bouncer. However, if you don’t select to be an organ donor it probably wouldn’t be nearly as noticeable. This is also not that big of a problem. This COULD be a flaw but could also just be because the person changed but the signature of the commissioner of public safety is not the same signature which is given in the example. Overall, pretty good for use in the west/Midwest, especially if you look Mormon like the dude in the barbook (holy shit he looks so fucking Mormon I swear I’ve seen this mf knock on my door a few times).
Look and Feel: Feels like most other Teslin IDs, about the same thickness as a real O21 Cali ID.
Security Features: Ghost Image - Looks good, colors seem to be right. Raised text – like I mentioned above it is a bit too bold but other than that it is there and looks good. UV – Front and back UV appear to be all correct and aren’t misplaced like I’ve seen on other IDs. Perfs – Beehive is visible through the back and the holes are generally pretty small which is good considering they basically shouldn’t be visible without backlight.
Signature: Looks like the one I submitted and is placed well.
Conclusion: Besides the few flaws I outlined, the ID itself seems excellent and has very few flaws which can be called out. If you are in a bordering state, I think that this could be a good option, especially if you are able to pull off the fact that you live in Utah. Another benefit of this state compared to some other western states is that it has a pretty high population so it isn’t as suspicious as something like Wyoming. I really enjoy this ID.
