MagicFakes - New York (NY) Review (Super detailed) ( self )

Intro: I live in NY and I can compare.

UF factor: HIGH comparing with an O21 and U21.

Communication: 7 Replies within 2 days. Prefer to be a little faster with the CS but 2 days is ok I assume. But if you're in a rush it will take a while.

Cost: 10 Really can't beat their price of 20-25 per with a group of 10 and their promo.

Shipping: 10 2 weeks- 3 weeks. Really no complaints.

Photoshop: 5 The skin color for white people should be darker. (not a joke). generally, the Photos are too light and it seems as though it's darker on the clothes and not on the face and hair where it should be. Should be an easy giveaway if you can notice. Ear shadow near non-existent and REALLY faint and should be much darker.

Template: 6 Here come the big boy and im comparing it with a magnifying lens. Colors are a little too contrasted for the NY state stamp. the two women are also a little too contrasted and the red lines on the women's capes are unevenly spaced. the middle shield, the letters are not thick enough and not blue enough, and the lines on the shield are the same. There is also a small boat where there are random red lines that SHOULD NOT BE THERE. left side, the blue isnt dark enough and top state name too dark. AND WHERES THE STAR?

Holo: N/a No holo on NY

UV: 6 UV too vibrant on the front. The back is good can't see anything wrong, however, the only thing that should be seen in UV is a faint outline of the state shape and a vibrant name. on the MF NY, it's the opposite, the name is faint and the shape is vibrant. ALSO, The stars and lines SHOULD NOT be seen on the UV but they are.

Scanning: Scans on BCS

Signature: 10 No complaints.

Conclusion: 6 overall, you get what you pay for. anyone whos seen a NY before will tell the difference. outside the tri-state area, you're in the clear. lots of template issues and need lots of fixes.

Afaik as a non resident, magic still needs to add the star, the uv colors aren't perfect, and the window doesn't invert like a real (I don't think any vendor can do this so it's whatever) if you're comparing to a real tho I think a lot of people would appreciate pics

Also you give mostly 6s and then rate it a 7?

I get that especially bc you got the discount. But for those 2 person orders I feel those 6s stick out more is all

Interesting that some NY IDs have the backdrop and some don't...I've noticed that. NY friends reals look closer to the fake but the o21 in the pic clearly has a backdrop

Last thing, since the o21 in the pic was issued in 2016 (can tell off the exp date), the fake resembles it more even tho NY added the star

That's why I compared the picture to my own U21 with no backdrop. Since pictures never change on the ID, I assume if you had the previous, it had the backdrop and that doesn't change. overall the template should be the same, backdrop or 2016 iss, but there are some major differences which I pointed out when I compared not only to the o21 but also u21.

price should never be looked at if something is good or bad other then the part where u say price was good or bad. A template doesn't get better if the price is cheap.

Also dump is right u can't give low grades then the overall is a number greater then what u gave most of them.
