Using vertical IDs to buy alchol ( self )

I look young but I want a fake. So my question is would it be smarter to but a out of state horizontal fake and just hope they don't question me getting my horizontal id right before moving a few states away? Or would it be smarter to just get a vertical u21 id make it so im about to turn 21 and just use that since it would look more realistic on how i have the id? How often do they turn down people who have vertical ids? Will i get turned down all the time? I look 19 for reference.

Alot of places just straight up dont accept vertical IDs. honestly just go with that O21

The places i plan on going to are things like walgreens targets or publixs and gas stations. So is it most bars will not accept you or is most places in general? Because i work at publix and we accept vertical

Yea I mean most bars, I know a good amount of places that have signs out front saying they dont accept vertical IDs

Honestly, if you look 19 you probably look close enough to 21. Get a solid ID, and you will be fine. Just act confident. If you are 18, it helps to use your real ID to buy cigs/lotto tickets/whatever is legal for you at 18. This gets you used to the whole process. It sounds silly, but it definitely helps you be less nervous the first time you use your fake. The first time you will be nervous, but it only gets easier. Dress nice and act confident, you will be fine.
