Blink is great imo. The vendor probably used transgen, a barcode generator, and made the barcode using the CT barcode module. It’ll show up fine on a normal scan but the issuing jusrisdiction shows up for scanners that are set up to read all the data.

Edit: you should be fine but why not just get an ID for yourself? They’re cheap now and scanning is 1:1 on a lot of vendors now so that issue wouldn’t be happening.

Blink never actually scans for me. Whether I use a real or fake it just doesn’t scan

This is not true. Up til now of all the sample barcodes people have sent us to analyze for them, the only "scan 1:1" barcodes I have seen are on IDs from a small handful of vendors using our app, and so far we're still the only "true 1:1" barcode vendor I'm aware of.

OP: we can analyze your barcode for free and tell you how accurate it is. If interested please open a ticket on our website idlucy.com and attach a high resolution scan of the barcode on your ID (and optional but we'd like to know where/when you got it).

Or anyone really who has a barcode they want to check, send it in. This is free for everyone, your info will be kept private, and all we're doing is keeping aggregate statistics.

btw: tested, Lucy scans perfectly fine on BlinkID and so do my real IDs. :)

You got me there. Shamed me on Wickr and here now. Damn you’re a ruthless bitch, I love it lol. I’m so used to working with people that have the proper formatting I forget there’s shit that doesn’t scan proper. You’ve spoiled this little autist.

Do u have a list of which vendors scan 1:1? Or do u know if fyd, god, and ois have 1:1 barcodes?

OIS and God we have fairly recent samples from and neither are 1:1. FYD our most recent is a few months back but that one was also not 1:1 but iirc it was one of the better barcodes we've gotten.

the only barcodes from current vendors that i'm aware of scan 1:1 are the ones using our generator, currently primarily budget and dove who use it for most of their IDs, and a small handful of other vendors who just use a single module.

our MI is still as far as i'm aware the only true 1:1 barcode there is.

What does it mean that it does not scan 1:1? Is it that it's missing the hidden characters or fields like weight are filled in when they shouldn't be.

Doesn't scan 1:1 = if you scan it it the scanned text wouldn't be the exact same as if it were a real ID.

True 1:1 = Entire barcode should perfectly match a real one, if you overlaid the images it would perfectly overlap.
