I posted this on another forum, but hopefully this site will have more answers.
It has been "easy" bypassing the TSA screening/check that they have in place right now, BUT when the REAL ID takes place next October, I was wondering if any of the Vendors will have ID's that can pass the new technology that they will have in place. This is what I posted on the other forum:
"Although I still have around 11 months left, I was wondering if anyone knew if the current big Fake ID vendors are going to appear to be REAL ID "compliant" with their ID's. I happened to, in passing, ask a TSA administration person about how they filter out the Fake ID's and he said that the REAL ID's will have chips that they scan that pulls up information when they put it on their machine. According to the site, "States will choose whether or not to embed RFID chips in the Real ID driver's license in place of the current 2-D bar code," so it may not be all states, but if anyone knows anything about this, I would love to know. Thanks!"
