Intro: This ID I can tell is going to be a tough one for vendors to fake. Shoutout to OIS for getting a quality Kentucky ID on the market while it's still fresh and not very well known. As always, took about two weeks, good CS, and for a brand new template, fair price. OIS really did try to make this a good ID, and I'll get into what they did well, what they did the best they could on, and so on.
Template: So I'm starting with the template because it's the most important thing here. The lens is harder to fake than other ID's like Ohio and Maryland for one major reason. Unlike other IDs where It's your photo and DOB interchanging in the reflection or Ohio where your photo and sig interchange, this lens is intended to interchange between your expiration date and initials/birthyear. It's a lot harder to fake because it changes between text and not text and an image. OIS did the best they could and faded the DOB behind the initials, so if a bouncer is playing with it in the light, it has the potential to give off a real effect. Moving on from that big detail, the ID is a similar feel to their WI and NY, and has a crazy amount of details. The only raised info is your DOB on the back of the ID. The window looks good, but I feel my pic should be inside it more just a tad. This ID has a ton of microprint, both on the front and some on the back outlining a flower. There's also a larger 'KY' in the background with some smaller Y's on the side which I feels shows the attention to detail in this new ID. Unfortunately, OIS used the old expiration term instead of the new. Should be 8 years not 4. Other than that, really good stuff.
Holos: So the ID has the state and 'KY' on the back in a kind of bronze color but not really what I want to focus on. I want to spend most of my time on the kinegram. This thing is hard asf to fake, and will never be perfect. OIS did their best as the building in the kinegram somewhat stands out from the rest of the silver. In certain lights, it also does give off the proper rainbow look that the kinegram is supposed to. Really hard thing to fake and OIS did the best they could, and for out of state I think that's fine.
UV: Pretty good, a little blotchy but that's fixable. Only issue is some of the blue bleeds to the back. For what seems to be a very complicated ID to fake, the UV is rather simple. If you go to a place that actually checks for blacklight, it'll get the job done. Only real potential tell is it's blotchy but if you make the ID look a little worn out, you'll be fine.
Photoshop and Sig look fine as well, not focusing on these 2 things much since the real focus of this review is this new template. OIS never fucks up on PS or sig, and this ID was just another example that they always focus on their photoshop skills good enough.
Overall, OIS did the best that they could. It's not ISP, but because it's so new it could pass in neighboring states as they likely have not seen this ID. IT's got the feel and has the overall look, and that's what's important. I think for fakes to thrive in the future, vendors are going to have to figure out a way to incorporate real lenses as more and more states begin to use them.
If you're looking for an uncommon fake ID to use, this Kentucky is an option for you
