Swiping ID’s ( self )

I was just at a tavern and the cashier swiped my FFF NJ ID, which was not going through and she ended up having to enter my age manually. Do real NJ ID’s swipe even though they don’t have the magstrip encoded?

Nothing swipes without a magnetic stripe. Maybe you are in a state that has a magnetic stripe so she just assumed the NJ did to and didn't look. Or maybe she is just that fucking stupid. Also, if there is a magnetic stripe, and it has no data on it, that means it isn't encoded. If there is no magnetic stripe, that just means there is no magnetic stripe.

Yeah I’m in a state that has a magnetic stripe and she just didn’t even bother to check and see that my NJ didn’t have one. I was starting to get worried but I didn’t even get questioned about it.

lol nah, but the scanner they use is a weird one that I've never seen before. They either swipe it to read the mag stripe or insert the ID into a slot to read the barcode. My friend said his g0d Kentucky worked like a charm the first few times he went, but last night his wasn't working either all of a sudden. I think their scanner might just be fucked.
