laminator. nny is polycarb only. you dont bond 2 different materials.

The CD sound is from the pre card being true poly carb. No blend, no PVC. Teslin on top of poly would encumber what causes that sound.

what do you mean by true polycarb? isn't there aonly 1 type of polycarbonate? so in other words shouldn't all polycarbonate cards sound like a c.d. when dropped?

I say "true" bc rn all the vendors either use a substitute material or some type of teslin blend with gloss lams. Yes all real polycarbonate stock should make that sound when dropped

ok. what could the substitute material be made of, and how can you blend teslin?

When I say blend I mean the actual teslin that you are printing onto is layered with a higher mil teslin and then laminated with a Glossy top lam sheet or a sticker to give it the "plastic" look.
Substitutes will be high quality pvc precard most of the time or similar plastic cardstock

thanks for the clarification.

before the laminate is used, how is the teslin bonded together?

all things considered it would be much easier to simply buy some polycarb! why would vendors bother to make substitutes instead of going on alibaba and buying some good polycarb cards?

*What do you mean by 'pre-card'?

I no longer make any shit so idk how people are actually pulling it off, all I know is I know teslin when I feel it and I know poly when I feel it.
You need to just buy from a vendor. With the type of questions your asking you just don't seem to have enough experience, making IDs from scratch will sink you financially.
