21Done's nIL-An Update to My Last Review ( self )

In my review of their nIL I noted that what I was reviewing was essentially a "V2" of their ID, as the first license they sent me had a few issues that needed to be worked out. The second one was very good and I was able to pass it inside statelines in the South Loop/Bronzeville area-yet that ID still was not an exact color match in some areas of the Template, so I was hesitant go beyond saying that if you wanted to use it in state, you could.

A few days later I got another ID from them, which I guess we could call their "V3", and I wanted to get my hands on an o21 Physical to show how close this one is. While it is not 100% there, it is closer than the V2 in a few key ways and in person is almost indistinguishable.

Because I have seen this vendor go through 3 Major revisions very quickly and without much issue or hassle, I think it's safe to say that most of "kinks" have been worked out with this State, and while a few very minor things could be changed, this ID is very promising. While I do not think the current Temp would elevate it's last score of 9/10, the ID has definitely improved and is one of the closest color matches on a nIL I have seen yet, especially in the Red Bar area and the photo backdrop.
After being a little let down by how short CollegeKey had been around, I hope this Vendor and this ID continues to be updated as the nIL changes, because it has potential to be the best one on the market.
While I know that might sound like I'm getting to cozy with these folks, these are some good changes to an already good ID, and I feel a little excitement on my part is justified.
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. Now please get tastefully shitfaced, no matter what ID you use, a g0d, a Ted, a Lucy, your sisters ID that looks nothing like you Becca, etc.

What you may be thinking of is an emulator for running software on different platforms, such as Android emulators that allow you to run Android apps on your computer. Yes i agree his reds got better but thats not really the issue he has. The middle is fucked and thats a big thing. You can see ith with your own eyes so i wont get in to whats the problem other then the whole middle needs work.

It's really more about the camera. As you know, picture processing can amplify colors in different ways and if you're not exact on your hue, the picture can result in colors looking different pretty easily. For example, in that side by side the back drop color looks different and the middle looks lighter, but in person, the back drop is literally so exact it's freaky, and the middle pops more but could probably use a touch of work, being a perfectionist of course. We have just had serious success passing in state with a lesser quality version, and as this compares to a real one in hand, and compared to ones before, all we can say is that so far we have had no issues with anyone using in state. Our sample size is too small to be really definitive of course, but as of right now this ID is in state passable at too strict of places to not call it in state passable. I'm sure you would prefer that we wait until we have at least 100 of them being used regularly in state, I just don't feel like I'm advertising falsely in any way when this is truly what we believe and have no reason to think otherwise, for now. That guy saying 1:1 on his though, yeh that's insane. Just trying to keep things straight and do good business, that's all. If someone has theirs taken away in state, they can order a new one for $30 at any time. If this happens even once, I will announce it publicly with the changes being made. I will always honor duplicates ordered at a later time than the original order and those will always contain the latest upgrades, if something were to come up that was causing the ID to be taken. If it is a major issue, some serious oversight on our part that ends up being identified, we would likely issue replacements for anyone in state. I will hold true to keeping this in state passable, or I will retract my assessment and ship out a different state to in state holders for free. Sorry if the marketing hype got to be too much. I think that guy saying 1:1 really did it in though. Take care!

The problem is usually in the ps set up or the printer set up. Even if the temp looks like fire it always depends on how it prints. To fix your issues change then print, change then print and keep doing it even if u waste teslin till uget it right.

Oh big time. You can't go off the screen, even with calibrated monitors and spectrophotometers, custom everything, you still have to print, laminate, cut, check. We have seen serious variations involved in how color is muted or enhanced based on laminate differences, and to make it worse, even temperatures used during lamination. It's all about how it comes out in the end. Color matching to a perfect template -> teslin match isn't all that bad because of available equipment, but there is no consistent way to know exactly what you'll get without running the process all of the way through. Tedious and time consuming, and resource consuming of course. Our template looks nothing on screen like it does once it's finished. Trial and error to get to the point we are at now. I just noticed you said specifically something in the middle other than color. Well, we'll get over it with a x10 and x40 again and do some overlap scans. We focused heavily on color matching and laminate feel, since the front and back have a contrast to them and the front is silky smooth. Thanks for the tip, we will always look to improve.
