I got this a while back as a review copy, this ID has been reviewed a lot so I'll try and keep this pretty brief.
I am comparing this to the bar book and I have had experience with nCA physicals, but I'm not comparing it side by side.
The template looks good color-wise and details-wise, this ID has been perfected over a long time and it shows. The microprint and fine lines look immaculate, which is something OIS always gets right. The raised text is perfect, it doesn't go anywhere when I scratch at it and feels great running my finger over it. The perfs are alined the best I've ever seen, they're lined up perfectly and only show up the way they would on a real. The OVI look exactly like the real.
The only problems I had with this ID had to do with the UV. Both the UV ghost image and the UV numbers over the main picture, showed up under normal light. I know this could be fixed in reprints and this isnt typical of OIS, so I think it's only a temporary error and I wouldnt think too much about it. Everything else about the UV looks great.
Overall, this ID lives up to all the hype, I have no doubts this could pass in-state and as soon as I can get out to CA I'll give it a try. I tried to take some better pictures for this review, lemme know if you guys like them. I didn't include any of the UV pics because I have a shit UV light, you'll just have to take my word for it.
