Ordering a fake ID ( self )

So I'm trying to pay for my idgod order with bitcoin and they say not to send through coinbase because they will know its a suspicious bitcoin address. I was wondering if a hot wallet, just off the app store would be ok to send the money to, then send to the vendor? Or is that too risky. Because I don't want to download a 200GB cold wallet onto my computer.

Depends on the wallet, since some of them are literal scams that'll steal the coins you send there, but if you stick to the well known ones (Blockchain.com, electrum) you'll be fine.

I've always used electrum personally very easy to work with.
