i feel like they couldn't track you down. all they did was write a ticket to a person that doesn't exist

Well my first piece of advice is don't ask anyone here or on the internet at all for legal advice.............
I mean just as an example this community is rampant with Barry Zuckerkornisms about law and unenforceable/tear up able terms of service and so on.....
But I'm bored so my 2 cents are you're looking at this through the wrong angle. The most important thing to consider is if the guy lives in the same county/state/or municipality that issued the ticket
(Based off this post idk if it was a city cop or sheriff or statie)
But seriously if he does this is going to eventually come back to bite him in the ass because forget about the fake ID charge, he knowingly provided false information to someone he knew was a police officer, which unless your in the 5 states I can think of off the top of my head, carries a much worse punishment then the cite and release he would have gotten for Fake ID. So there are two courses of action really:
1)Do what everyone else is saying and forget about it
2)Obtain Legal council (There are ways to do this without paying 1k) and clear up the record ASAP so you are just fighting Furnishing to minor or whatev the original complaint is
Now I will seem biased but I suggest you don't do Option 1 because going back to my point about where it was issued, shockingly Law Enforcement has tools to deal with hard to find people. If attempts to get you to show up in court or serve summons to the made up house fail, they will use other information to try and figure out where you are, and if you have your real name, all they have to do is run it and it's all over.
So at the end of the day my TL:DR is you actually would be doing okay if you only picked up a Fake ID charge from this. If you let it linger, you risk a more serious offense.

If your friend has a white ass name like “John Smith”, or a Hispanic ass name that’s pretty generic “ Jose Guerro” , and doesn’t live in Florida, he’s fine. If he lives in Florida, then idk about that

Honestly the internet isn't the best place to find legal advice, however it seems as though they issued a completely fake ticket with no way to track them down.
