Uncertainty factor is a term often used when describing the probability gap associated with an answer when converting dosages of chemicals on rats to dosages on humans without actually testing on humans.
The scale is exactly as it reads. It is all about the amount of uncertainty in your approximation of what you are judging. Uncertainty means how NOT certain you are.
If your uncertainty factor is high, that means you are comparing an ID to the barbook or an image on the internet. This is because you are not certain at all, because you do not have a real ID in your possession. You don't even have an under 21 ID from the same state in your possession. You are completely uncertain, so the uncertainty factor is HIGH.
If you have an over 21 ID from the same state in your hands, then you are very certain in your judgement of the fake. Your certainty is HIGH. That means your uncertainty level is LOW.
This entire forum seems confused about this. Even the homepage seems confused about this. Review after review, I see people getting this backwards.
That is all for my public service announcement. Thank you.
