Intro: I live in state for school, pretty high UF because I have seen physical in hand and am pretty familiar with it, however I didn’t compare them side by side so I might be off on a few things – just used pictures I took for this review.
Communication - 10/10: Magic always got the fast responses, active on here, reddit, and their website CS. Seriously, some of the best overseas CS I’ve experienced.
Shipping – 10/10: Received in the standard 2-week period, shipped out within a few days of ordering which was epic.
Cost – 7/10: Got for review but for what you get it’s decent for a polycarb ID.
Signature – 10/10: Correct thickness, like the one I submitted. Not much more to say about it.
Photoshop – 8.5/10: Overall pretty good, the physical I’m comparing to had stronger shadows under the ears.
Template – 6-7/10: Going to be a little bit harsh but only because I know that it can be improved with a few tweaks.
-
Fonts: The license number text is a little bit too bold – correct amount of numbers though and looks like it’s formatted correctly. DOB and EXP also too bold, but all of these are raised like the real. The font for the name and address are just a bit too thin, as well as the stats. Typeface itself is correct. On the back, the birthday in the bottom left is a bit too spread out and the wisconsindmv.gov text is just barely not bold enough. A bit of text on the right of the barcode on the back is not bold enough but looks close.
- Template: The birth month/year under the picture is way too faded and should be bolder and darker. The colors of the Wisconsin text on top is a little too light of a blue, but the background yellowish is correct. The Madison capital and WI flag should be just a tad more visible. Curved text that goes over the window is accurate as well. Colormatching is quite good. Blood donor text is off center and should be a deeper orange. Back signature line is raised correctly. Overall, it’s actually pretty good.
UV/Holo/OVI (and Window) – 7.5/10: The template doesn’t have any holo afaik but the UV looks similar, but the color is a little bit off. The UV on the back is just a bit sloppy as the real is insanely detailed, I was expecting a flaw. The window is probably the most noticeable flaw on the ID – it is slightly off center. On top of this it should be a bit darker when held up in front of a light. Leaf in the back looks good though. Can’t say anything about the microtext as I don’t have a loom on me.
Scanning: 10/10 - Scans on BCS – would work at gas station or anything.
Look and Feel: Very good, has the right thickness and all the textural security features like the raised text on the front and the raised signature design on the back.
Conclusion: I’m not going to give this a score for conclusion as I don’t really know how to weight it, but the biggest flaw with this ID isn’t the template design itself, which is near excellent, but rather the texts and windows which each are slightly off in their own way, which could make it more noticeable to someone. I wouldn’t use this ID in-state but I might use it when I travel to MN; that being said the window might be sus even there. However, the window could just be a problem with my ID and results may vary. I would recommend for use in the western states like NE and KY and states to the east and south like MO, AK, KY, only because the Midwest might be riskier.
