How do you manage your gear? ( self )

Hey, everyone! I could use some advice on my outdoor photography. Last weekend, I hiked up to a beautiful overlook, all excited for some breathtaking sunset shots. I packed my DSLR, a couple of lenses, and my sturdy tripod, thinking I’d be prepared for anything. But when I got to the top, I was completely out of breath and didn’t have the energy to set up my camera properly. I missed out on capturing that stunning light! How do you manage your gear so you don’t end up exhausted before you even start shooting?

I feel you! I used to overpack too until I started using the Cotton Carrier camera harness. It’s seriously made a huge difference. It allows me to carry my camera comfortably while keeping it easily accessible. I can hike longer without feeling bogged down, and when I see a shot, I can grab my camera in an instant. While the harness sounds great, I’ve found success with a different approach. I downsized to a lightweight mirrorless camera, and it’s been liberating! It fits in my bag without taking up much space, so I can bring it anywhere without hassle. I’ve found that I’m more spontaneous with my photography because I can pull it out whenever I see something interesting. If you haven’t considered going smaller, it might really transform your experience and help you capture those incredible moments!
