Is there an issue with getting an in-state id? ( self )

Never see people with in-states, I don’t Rlly see a reason why not to have one. What’s the issue with them?

There’s good and bad to in state, and it all stems from the fact that people who look at IDs see in state a majority of the time.
Good: people see this ID all the time so there’s a lot less scrutiny when looking at it, probably makes it easier at gas stations or stores
Bad: people see this ID all the time so they inherently get a feel for what the real looks like and using a fake could be harder, especially at bars

People who check IDs are more familiar with the features and feel of their own state's ID. Some vendors make certain states well enough to hold up to that level of scrutiny like OIS nCA, 21done nIL, Budget MO, Dove TN, etc. That's not an exhaustive list just some off the top of my head. It really depends what state you live in and where you want to use the ID, that would help for people to give you specific advice.
