Intro: Been really lazy and just haven't made any reviews lately. But here's one, OIS Oklahoma. Good ID for what it is and yet another template you don't see around often. I got this for review purposes, however I think the price is fair for the factor that it's hard to find. Shipping was fine from what I remember. Anyways, here's the review.
Compared to the old Template , this ID is a huge rework. The old OK was very thick, whereas this ID is much thinner. I can't confirm it's how an actual OK feels, but OIS made this ID feel the same as their other midwest states such as Kansas and Nebraska. Smooth, and relatively easy to bend. However, Oklahoma has no raised text, just a laser perforation of a bison. The laser perforation sticks out a little too much for my liking, but it's there. The real ID star also seems it could be a little brighter, but I know the color sometimes varies from state to state.
One thing I appreciate is that OIS added the correct county on the front and back of the ID. I was concerned about this as I didn't have a space to fill out the county so I appreciate the extra mile.
The holograms are pretty standard. The colors are nice, don't stick off the ID a crazy amount and catch the light well. The word "the" might be a little to visible on my face, but not the end of the world. Overall, pretty simple with not much else to be said.
The UV is also pretty simple. Essentially just outlines the front of the ID green with a couple additional details. I will say the lines don't outline the details perfectly, and are a little bit to the side of what they are meant to outline. Also, the UV can be seen through ti the back, wish there was a way to fix that.
The Photoshop is overall what I've come to expect. Clear picture and well cut out. I will say that there seems to be some weird silhouette outline on my face, but it could be intentional as this has never been an issue before.
Overall this ID is a simple remake from what Oklahoma originally had. They clearly didn't care about security features and only updated the ID to make it REAL ID compliant lol. The lack of security features from OK is definitely a head scratcher. This ID is also currently nowhere near ISP, because it's so much thinner than the old it could be mistaken as fake. However, this could be a great addition to border states as this ID just started getting issued in September, so it still has that new factor. Fair choice that could use some potential tweaks, but still an alright ID. Not the best from them, but OIS is always pretty good at being the first to bring a new ID to the market.
